Too many too fast

I wondered if I would get into blogging once I wasn't working so much and I guess today answered my question. Although it could be like my journal keeping where I play catch up a lot instead of daily writing.
But... this is a good way to record events like the stressful one tonight. John turns 36 next week and recently bought a motorcycle. 'Nuff said. He's mostly been riding it around the neighborhood until he's used to it but tonight he decided to ride it to the church for weekly basketball. I made him PROMISE to call me the minute he arrived so I would know he was safe. 30 minutes after he left and no phone call. I called him and he didn't answer. What is a 9 1/2 month pregnant wife supposed to do at this point? I called my dad, who was also at the church to find out if John was there. And he was. already playing. without a care in the world :) I tried his cell again and he answers that he forgot. Man, did I let him have it. while staying kind and loving, of course.

Let's play, "Which one is your dad?"

When you line the Miller boys up, they don't look too much alike. But, divide them and it's easy to hug the wrong one from behind :) Especially since they all wear jeans and Seminole shirts every day. We have enjoyed watching the grandkids of Bill and Cleo get confused and call one of their uncles "dad." Sometimes even when they can see their real dad across the yard. Catherine once held John's hand and walked him around the garden, talking a mile a minute with phrases like, "look at that, dad!" He just laughed the whole time and went along with it. Levi once climbed out of the car (his dad was at the steering wheel), saw John and said, "hi, dad!" Dayna and Cassy never went through this entertaining phase being the first grandkids and the uncles being so much younger and not married yet. We're counting on Iris to follow in this fun tradition.

Asthma and Contractions

Cassy is home with a bad case of the coughs and I'm near her dealing with yet another day of almost constant, non-productive contractions. Aren't we the pair? Cassy got hurt yesterday on the trampoline- the neighbor girl accidently stepped on her face. Sigh. I'm not sure how I was supposed to forsee that or protect her from it. We are venturing out of the house in the cold to my doctor's appointment and to the library. I love the library- how else would I be able to support my "Monk" addiction? I also really love Laura's blog- it makes me laugh. I think the link is somewhere here. laurabtw.blogspot.com. Check it out.
